Profound Outdoors is the business website
Swampers is the tackle company that is producing the tackle, owned by the pros

The eight founding pros put this together to bring lure designs to the angling community the way they
Want the lures built not cheapen down by large companies to sell in big box stores

It's a pyramid scheme like any other. They all work the same. If you are willing to work it you can make some money. But you're always making more money for someone else than you are for you.

How is that any different than any other job unless you own the company? You're always making more money for someone else than you are for yourself.

Also a little tact would be nice with some of the comments. Saying that it's disgusting and sickening to the fishing world might discourage someone from joining when in fact it may be a legit company and business model. You could just say that MLM's aren't your thing and leave it at that.

I will tell you guys this. Whether it works or not remains to be seen but the pros who are involved are not trying to scam anyone. They are sincere and honest folks. All of them.

I don't know what you're talking about. I stated it was a pyramid scheme like any other and it can work if you put in the time. I didn't bash it or say anything disgusting about it. I just stated a sincere fact. It IS a pyramid scheme/MLM "business model", if the scheme word bothers you. It just is.

As for the working part, pyramid schemes always pose it to you as if you'll be self employed. When you're self-employed, you aren't making others money. Plain and simple.

The tact comment was not directed at you in any way.

Come on bass fishing waters, please warm up soon. The natives are getting restless and predatory.

MLM's are not for me anymore but they do work successfully for some. I hope it's a home run for some of our anglers.

I got involved in an MLM once in my entire life way back in my 20 somethings thinking I could do this MLM and support my newly found addiction to tournament fishing. I don't even remember what it was we were selling but it was actually closer to being a Ponzi scheme than a MLM after looking back at that time. Any way I stopped my involvement in it when I got a nastygram from the postmaster generals office telling me to stop........I'm reeaal weary of anything like that.....
