You're welcome, sir. Enjoy!
ETA: BBQ lovers may notice I left that off. It was not a mistake. There is no good BBQ in Katy. You'll have to go into Houston to eat at Brisket House, Papas BBQ or Luling City BBQ.

Babin's may be a little pricey and the portions smaller than other places but, you have to get the crab bisque before your entree and bread pudding for dessert. Both of those are slap yo momma good. If you get those then you don't need huge portions for the entree.
And the Landry's on I-10 has a lunch buffet that is very good and cheap. I haven't been anywhere else that you can get a quality seafood buffet for under 10 bucks anywhere else.

And look what you just did to your bill. I can go to Pappadeaux, spend $20 on a seafood platter and have a large lunch leftover for the next day. I can point you to a hell of a Chinese buffet in Clear Lake though.

If you want a good chicken fried steak or one hell of a good hamburger go to Traditions on HYW 90 in Katy. Great food and good prices.

Keith, I'll have to give that place a try. I haven't eaten in old town Katy since Jill's Steak House closed years ago.

Try the bbq at Midway on Hwy 90 in Katy. A rack of ribs for $13.95. Will feed 3 to 4 and you can get them to go. Good to eat cold in a blind, I once killed a snow goose with a rib bone I can only guess what i would do with the jawbone of an ***!

Midway does a good job processing your deer as well. I really like their link sausage recipe for deer meat.

Another Katy resident's suggestions, I live on Fry road and I work between old Katy and Brookshire. Hamburger: Texas Tradition Fudruckers (by Katy Mills Mall) Seafood Babins is my favorite in Katy and Houston, I don't think the price is much higher than Papadauex while not as big portions as Papa's still plenty of food and very good. Breakfast: Cracker Barrel is my favorite Southern Kitchen in Brookshire is good homestyle, kinda hard to find and I don;t think they are open on the weekends. Snappys in old Katy is good, but beware the locals will smoke the place up. And I believe Texas Tradition in old Katy has breakfast now, they do a pretty good job with everything. I know you didn't ask about Mexican food, but my favorite place of all is El Vaquero 2002 N. Fry road very good and cheap prices. You can check out this website, and get some extra opinions: www.b4-u-eat.com I went teal hunting with one of Larry Gore's guys earlier this year and didn't have a problem. Didn't get our limit but that was our fault for telling the guide to pack up to soon, as soon as he started getting the decoys a group of about 10-15 teal cirlced us twice. Just my two cents.

Thanks for the info Pavu. Our plans have somewhat changed. We will likely still be going but now, it's a matter of when and with whom. Work really gets in the way of fishing and hunting!!!
