Hey guys

I'm looking at buying a used Skeeter and it has a 2002 Yamaha VMAX 200 OX66 with about 200-225 hours on it. Now, I'm roamed around the forums and heard people talk about OX66 yamahas. So can anyone give me the low down on these engines? Good or no?

Thanks

Bullet proof! Good PM practice is to clean O2 sensor yearly and use quality 2 stroke oil.

My buddy has a '02 225 only problems he has had is a loose wire and a fuel pressure regulator. Runs like a spotted ape. They do like fuel and oil.

Like everyone else is saying change o2 sensors and regular maintenance and they will run like a champ. Mine does love fuel and oil though. That could have something to do with my lead foot.
