OK fellow fishers I need a little guidance on Cedar Creek. I found the barely submerged foundation just outside the 3rd 198 bridge, thanks to Steves prop shop im back on the water. Now I keep hearing ya'll make reference to Crappie island when your talking about places to find the hybrids. When looking at the map is it the southwest corner of Caney City ? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Clear Creek and Caney Creek "meet" where they enter the open lake. Look for the first point on the east side of the lake going north from either creek. BTW, do a search for Dennis Christian's map and you will be way ahead of the curve.

If you don't have a map chip I would suggest staying at least 1/4 mile south of Crappie Island and you head west, there are several large sand bars there. The north side of crappie island is also shallow and has a few stumps.

It ain't easy making it look easy.

If you have a Lakemaster chip you can set it to highlight various depths. Cedar Creek is close to 4' low at this time.

So Glad to hear it Chuck ! Had to drop off my Salley at Rockwall Marine day before yesterday to straighten out my prop shaft after the 198 bridge submerged foundation got me. Should be a a couple of weeks. I already had Steve clean up my prop. You have any pointers for me on CC ? Other than keep reading yours and Dennis's post and stay off the concrete with the prop...lol. Greatly appreciated and "Tight lines to ya"
