Does anyone know if there is any water for a run this year? Thanks, ET

I will be filling feeders for spring turkey just across river in 3 weeks. I will try to take a look at it but I would bet there is not much.

Let me be more specific, there is some water (and native fish) in the river at the state park. However there is not enough water in Tow (downstream) to connect river to lake. It spreads out over mud flats with no actual channel.

With the construction of ivie came the demise of that run. I fished a place north of goldthwaite had a spreader dam that was an old mill dam but the community was waged away. There is a historical marker for it. On good years befor Ivie stripers and big ones at that would make it all the way to the dam and just be gang piled right there. I think all the people ha already quit fishing bend an never knew thew they were coming. It wa always late April early may if I remember havnt seen them there Since Ivy was filled.

We are set to go in March on spring break....hope there is enough water for some fishing. Anyone have any recent pics?

Well bring plenty of beer so you can at least catch a buzz. Only thing that will be caught are resident fish and I doubt there will be many of those.

That is a given either way....I know sandies aren't running but was hoping to at least be able to paddle my yak around...maybe find a few spots
