How many days into a warming trend yielded the best results after a sustained cold? Discuss

Depends on how long the sustained cold. Quick and easy answer, I'd say three days. With the addendum that I've never had good numbers on Florida strain bass with water temps below 45 degrees F.

I'm going to Purtis Saturday. To me it's about night time temps. 3 days of 45 degree lows and highs around 60+ should turn it on. I think it's just I'm not an experienced fisherman as some, but I really don't start doing well until it's about 50 degree water temp. That's when it "turns on" for me. Like I said I'm hitting Purtis and possibly another lake in the area on Saturday. The night temps are 43, 39, and 50 on Friday night. With this recent frigid cold I don't expect to kill em. I will expect a change of pace. More bites than there has been, and the fish to possibly be shallower. I plan on the bite to be a bit better. Man who ever can fish next week in north Texas is gonna do some good. Just look at the temps it's about to be on.

I'll be going out friday, hoping that after the prolonged cold a few are gonna need to feed before they move up for spawn. Couple days with the highs in the 60 should get them a little more active. We will see if my thoughts pan out haha. but +1 to next week, should really see a change in productivity
