I just don't get all the rave about Lews. I have an older winch (gen 2) and 4 or 5 lews tp's that I bought based on all the raving that goes on about them on TFF. I'd trade them all for winches. For whatever reason, I can cast them farther, they're smoother and I rarely backlash them.

I would get a bb1 or bb1 pro. I have a winch and a bb1 and the bb1 is a lot better IMO

There you go the man has both. I love my winch and I have a Lew's high speed reel. I couldn't tell you which model it is but I run 3 other revo stx's and their great. I have no complaints about my Lew's reel either so go pick up both and see what feels right. Either one sounds like a good decision.

Same old story. Ford or Chevy? Coke or Pepsi? Boat brand vs boat brand? Ginger or Mary Anne?
Cant go wrong with either. I have 3 revo's and 2 newer Lew's reels, either way, you are getting quality.

Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

The only thing Lews beats Garcia on is number of "pro staffers". Winch is a great reel.
