Don't see anything to get excited about. The Lure is expensive ($1,099.00) short (11.5') heavy (69 lbs) and wide (36). And capacity is only 375 lbs.

I don't go too fast but I go pretty far.

Hard for me to get excited about short and wide, in anything! rolfmao But for a kayak with those dimensions, as good as any and better than most. I do think that seat looks great and like the yellow camo color. banana

Those Native's both look to be more geared towards a sit in yak. Am I wrong on that? I thought everyone on here despised sit in's. Im assuming those natives don't have scupper holes either.

The Native Ultimate FX is a canoe/kayak hybrid; great fishing platform. thumb

You are correct, they don't have scuppers.

There are a number of hybrid kayaks on the market.
Native makes the Ultimate, Wilderness has the Commander, and Jackson has the Kilroy.
Everyone does not despise hybrids or sit in kayaks.
In fact Chad Hoover fishes quite a bit from his Commander.
The hybrids do not have scuppers. That is generally not an issue if you are fishing flat water.

I'd have a hard time being convinced there is a better river rig out there than an Ultimate.
They are a dream to river fish out of.
I think I'll always own an Ultimate.

Been looking at adding either a Tarpon 120, Ride 115x or the new Lure to the fleet.
I'm a little concerned about 36" wide but I sure do like the clean looks of the Lure layout.

Well sit in's sure do get a lot of grief on here everytime someone brings them up. Maybe im just a little biased becuase I've been fishing out of one for over 3 yrs now with no issues. Im pretty sure my next kayak though will be one of these hybrids as I mostly do river fishing anyways. It sure is great to have choices these days!

Can't believe more folks don't talk about the Pungo. Low windage and great for cold weather kayaking.
