Not to change your mind about coming to Fork, but by my attempts in trying to catch crappie this winter has been absolutely horrible to say the least. I personally have turned away trips because the crappie fishing has been so tough. Other guides I know have switched lakes because of the non-existent
bite. I really dont not know what is happening right now. I have never seen it like this in the winter. We usually are knocking
thier lights out. I am anxious to hear some other theories on what is happening.

We'll I will be staying at lake tawakoni from feb16th thru 21st, are there any crappie guides catching any there or close to it, would like to get a guide

I've been talking with friends and the results are the same... Nothing happening! I wonder if the large population of Sandies has pushed they off the normal winter hangouts into other areas of the lake and we haven't been able to find them? I'm hoping its not a Virus like LMBV...Yikes

If you are willing to make a drive to Lake I Pines bud. We are still whacking em here
The fork bite , like fork fish said, has gone adios!!
It should start picking up pretty soon though as they start the move up shallow

BIL and I caught 38 Saturday. Would have had a limit if I could have stayed another hour. I would go to Pines if it's a possibility. Tawakoni would probably be better as well.

It was at pines. I haven't been to fork this year due to low numbers being caught.

Same here on Cypress. Did fairly good last Sunday, but this past Sunday was terrible! 1 crappie all day, did catch some bass and catfish. I found the shad so thick it was unbelievable& there was fish there, but couldn't make them bite!
