It's been years since I fished it but I grew up in Tyler. Lake Tyler has some nice cats in it and they are usually willing participants. Bradshaw point, close to camp Tyler will usually do you well.
For a sure thing, just go to Palestine.

It is good for channels, nice average on them.
Palestine is full of all 3 species and if its eaters your after the limit is 50.
