I was out this morning from 7:30- 10:30 and did not get a single bite. The fish were in their usual spots suspended at about 40-47 FOW but they all had lock jaw. I scouted in 61 FOW by the dam and found shad about 15ft thick, so thick my sonar was reading 45 ft when I was in 61 ft. The water temp was 40 degrees, I don't know if that had anything to do with it, but the fishing was terrible.

Was out also from around noon til 4. Been a long time since I've seen so many dead shad floating around. The sea gulls, cormorants and cranes were having a blast. Marked fish but not many bites at all. Surface water temp 40.1F, freaking cold!!

I've noticed lots of seagulls out there lately. They've been just flying around though, haven't seen them really working or anything.

wow, sweet load on Livingston. grew up in onalaska and fished that lake since i was in diapers. we always fish the road bed, it's hard to even find 40 ft of water on that lake. you must be fishing down by pine island near the dam or something.

@Oceanblue...I haven't fished there (Lake Lewisville) a while. It's a tough lake for me and I've been with you and I know you can catch those sandies. Now if you were skunked then we all need to stay home. @Die1ll isn't Cedar Creek is your lake? You Slaughtered At That lake. I loved that lake just hate the 2hrs drive with the gas price these days. Keep those reports coming. Enjoyed reading them.

Sorry, I might have had the lakes confused. I saw oceanblue is from Mckinney so I thought he meant Lake Lewisville.
I went to Lewisville, would consider it my home lake as I live about 4 minutes away. The water temps and low levels are throwing everything off there.
Cedar Creek has been good to us but this has been the first year there, we've been there a total of 4 times now.
