8 months and no mount and no communication since first of November. I was told 90 days originally. These guys still in business? I sure hope so, they do good work.

I just placed an order with them yesterday. You might try calling or emailing them again.

I had to go to Bev's right down the road. They did the same thing to me so I gave up.

They are not the fastest nor are their CS skills up to par, I went thru the same thing as u, I was promised 3 different times I would have my fish I had pretty much given up, just happy that this lesson only cost me a 100.00 Finally almost a year to the date, they delivered my fish on their dollar to Dallas and I must say it looks great, a lot better than I expected

I have had the same issues!! They told me in July it would be 90 days and I have called several times and everytime I get the same answer that it should be finished that month and have now heard that story 4 times so far. At this point im not sure if I will ever see my fish but if they call me great if not I guess I just got screwed. Its a shame they take your money and you never get your product and never get in trouble for it either.

Hey guys I had the same issue with poor communication and longer than suggested turn time but the final results were great.
They really are good folks just not the best at communication.

They have done a couple of fish for me and I never had a problem. The mounts look great too. Not sure what's going on but I hope it works out for you guys.

I had them do the 10.2. Originally I was told 90 days. At the 7 month mark I told them I wanted my money back if they could not produce the fish in two weeks. I got my fish, with a fold in top part of the tail which had been painted over. I didn't want to go through the hassle, and extra cost, of sending it back so I just kept it. I emailed on a monthly basis after the 90 days and was just given excuses. I also requested my fish be painted like the picture and was told it could be done. I provided a picture, through email, and it wasn't even close. The mount looks good with the exception of the tail. In fact its better than two other replicas I have. But the bottom line is they wouldn't get my hard earned $$$$ again.

They are still in business. I talked to Clayton recently and they are covered up right now. Their work is very well known and its not uncommon for them to get a large order for several hundred fish with a tough deadline to meet. They do all the work in house and are burning the candle at both ends right now. Not an excuse for poor communication but when you are running a small family business it can be tough when your covered up to juggle talking on the phone and getting your work out. They've done several fish for me and I have no doubt when they complete yours you'll be completely satisfied with the replica itself even if it took longer than expected.

The guys do excellent work. They have done two of the most fantastic mounts for me that are simply works of art! I know that they do get a lot of orders from stores like Bass Pro Shops that will want 200 fish done in 2 months. This sometimes throws them off of schedule because none of us are going to turn down a $60,000.00 order. They have never not done what they promised, maybe not when they promised to but never not delivered. If you are unhappy with what you received, let them know in a nice way that it is not what you expected, and they will make it right. Remember you catch more flies with honey that with vinegar.

Watch out for them. If you ever use a CC for deposit they will bill it for the full amount with NO notification. They won't even call to let you know your mount is done and shipped. I got notification from UPS. I specifically told them I would pick up the mount and pay balance in cash. Wasn't too impressed with the mount either.
Catch em, kiss em, let em go

Sorry to see both Fish Scale and Lake Fork Taxidermy struggling with completing orders on time and not communicating as well. Fish Scale appeared to have awesome quality and Lake Fork Taxidermy did a great job on my 12.18 and it only took them a couple months in 2012.
What other options are there even out there? There is a guide at Fork that does replicas too?

Bev's is right off of 515 at Lake Fork. She told me mine would be done in a month and about 3 weeks later I got a call saying it was completed. She did a great job. I would recommend trying her.
