If so, are you able to successfully do the updates (both Nautical charts update & Sonar charts update)? Interested in responses relative to the SOUTH chip--- I know that they do work for the EAST chip.
When I try to do so two problems arise:
1. The Navionics ChartInstaller application gives an error message saying that there is not sufficient space on the card (the only files on the card are those put there by Navionic)s.
2. The related NavService application causes my computer to slow way down.
So far not impressed with Navionics support! I submitted these issues to them 5 days ago and so far no response.
If anyone is successfully using these features, I'd like to know.
If anyone has had the same issues and has found solutions, I'd like to know that too.
Thx for any help/info offered.

I use a Platinum chip and I received the same error message about not enough space. I contacted Navionics and they sent me a new card. It appears that the card only held up to 4GB and do to the need for increasing the size to 8gb, they sent me a new one. Like you I never put anything on my card other than what came on it and the updates. I suspect you have the same problem.

Thx for the info. Now if Navionics will just respond to my support request!
I checked available space on my card and it is only 600 Meg.

How old is the chip? Sounds like it is an older chip before some of the new data came out. If so the deal with that is, the older units (LCX...etc) could only hold so much data so the chips had to be kept small so that it would not lock up or slow those units down. Now with the newer electronics, Navionics has the ability to give the user so much more info and updates to help their mapping needs.

Got tired of waiting for a response to the trouble report submitted on-line so today I called them. I was told that a new chip will be sent to correct the "inadequate space" problem.
They had no solution for the computer slow-down problem. They want me to try the new chip when it is received and see if that also solves the slow-down issue.
Thx for all inputs!
