Okay for all of you that have knowledge of hydraulics and water levels, can you explain how Hubbard is dropping when we have had precip over the past few days?

It's mind boggling!

This is the water level reading as of 08:30 this morning

Yes. They have been letting water out to the wetlands in Combine.

I believe that the water from the wetlands is piped back to Lavon.

Where does the water go that passes under Highway 80? They run that out all the time. Usually at night when I pass over it!

As I understand it the water is used for the treatment facility then pumped back to Lavon then to Hubbard. How much makes it back is any bodes guess.
The lake has never been so low and the fact is we are in a drought. My fear is if we have a dry spring and go into summer what will it look like this time next year.

i pulled my ski boat out of chandlers last weekend and was told by the marina that the internet readings were incorrect. They said the lake is actually down 8.5 feet..

in places I know where some brush piles were in 15 feet of water at full pool, the water is now less than 7 feet, so I agree with this!

Well bubba I guess it's time to find us a new lake to fish. At this rate we won't be able to get out of chandlers into the main lake.

Jonny they are talking about the wetlands pipeline it goes back up to the north end of lavon to continue filtering it. (I think anyway I'll ask Mitch with NTMWD)

I was digging around on the net last night that's a 84 inch 40 something mile long pipeline going across 3 county's in n.t.m.w.d propaganda they say gallon for gallon replacement of water used out of lavon. When they pump out of lavon we all know where look and see that but never see flow going back in and c.o.e would document the incoming water.
The water you see running behind Hubbard it's not coming from the lake at all that's the discharge from duck creek treatment plant and rowlett creek treatment plant duck creek is discharge for both and that's right behind the dam of ray hubbard.
Now n.t.m.w.d about tap in lake tawakoni they have rights to the water not a lot but some.
the clock is ticking on water and it's about run out we should of had a new lake come on line in the last 20 years now we are looking at another 10.

had my ski boat out there for 4 years. Last may the lake was (approx) 3-3.5 feet low. According to Chandlers (joel) it's 8.5 low now (not what the internet is saying at 7.00 approx low). Sold the boat, sold the slip. I don't see how the lake will rise 5 feet between now and May 2014. With that being said if it doesnt (and my money is it doesn't) the lake will be worse in late 2014-2015 than now. Be careful guys i hope for all i am wrong.
