Went to the boat show and became somewhat enamored with the Epic Bay 22CC. Talked with rep and became increasinly interested. Any comments about this boat would be helpful including thoughts about Evinrude vs. Yamaha, dealers and reputation etc. I currently have an Express w/ Yamaha 150 which I really like but thinking about the larger boat. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

I looked at them at the show also. They look like really nice boats and not priced bad. The front deck is huge. I like the idea of a 4 stroke yamaha. I have a 2 stroke yamaha 200 now and love it. Never owned an E-Tec but I did have a regular Evinrude on my last boat and it was a great engine also.

Rockwall Marine is a dealer for them.

I saw them also, good looking boat. I do think the trolling motor batteries should be under the console though. I had a Ranger with 4 batteries in the back and I didn't like them there. Kinda like having a fat buddy riding on the back all the time.
I did like the large front deck.

I appreciate the input; going to test one at Rockwall Marine. Would like to hear from Epic owners. Chuck, I wondered about the batteries in the back; however, I'm used to fat fishing buddies in the boat.

I saw one at Mesquite, looked great. there were a few comments made on this forum earlier about some issues after hitting submerged trees, sounded more like operator error than manufacturing issues to me however.

All new boats look good, ride good and cost lots of money.

E-tecs are nice, check out the oil price for them.

It ain't easy making it look easy.

+ 100 on Tommy at Rockwall Marine. I looked at the Epic at the Mesquite show and it looked like a great boat. But I can tell you one thing Tommy will stand behind it!

They are in the low 30's . For a mid range boat they are great.

Last May I sold my Bass Cat for a 22' Bay Boat with a casting deck up front and a tee top. Optimax 200. I don't think I will ever go back I do like the thought of a four stroke but never owned one.

That's a nice looking boat.

I really need to narrow down which boat I want as our move is coming up.
