I run 2 graphs. Hds9 at the console, and a hds7 at the bow. What are the other reasons to run 3-4 graphs? 2 screens are better than splitting them? Just curious.

I run 4 HDS 10's I thought it was a bit much at first, but I'll tell you I couldn't live without them now. It is awesome to be able to leave one screen on mapping and the other on sonar / side image at console. On the bow I like to run side image on one screen and split between mapping and sonar on the other.
All four units are tied in together so sharing way points in easier. Can also change from front to rear transducer on the units.

Do you run the side image transducer on the trolling motor? If so, does it distort when your trolling?

two on my 17' tracker. Lowrance 520c up front, HDS 7 on the console. will have the side scan once I find a decent priced LSS1 bundle. I will have the ability to move my HDS 7 from the aluminum boat (ram mount) to my next glass boat, so that I can share the routes/waypoints. The tin boat is mainly for skinny water and creating routes for the glass boat. I will always have two boats from this point forward. nice to have a battle wagon for a backup.

I run one at the console. Its a humminbird 581i hd di. I have been thinking about running two, but dont really think it is all that neccesary. I may upgrade to a si unit and move the di to the bow. I usually know the areas I am fishing and if I dont I will make a pass through an area and check it out with the one at the console before fishing. To me the advantage to having two mounted sxs is you could run one on di and one on si or on left si and right si to have bigger picture to see.

I have an older boat with Lowrance 332C graphs. One mounted in the bow console and one in the driver's console. Also have a 998 Humminbird which is currently at the driver's console. Will be moving the 998 to the front so I can add a 1198 to driver's console.

Two. 998 at console and 858 on bow. Wish I had two at the console. One for GPS and the other for sonar.

Do you run the side image transducer on the trolling motor? If so, does it distort when your trolling? Yes I have not had any problem with any interference.
