Crappie houses in the DFW area ?

trying to plan a trip to the DFW area in early april, and really wanna get on some crappie. We wont have a boat, so looking for some crappie house's that are producing, or normally produce in the spring.
any suggestions?

You should be able to find some fish from the bank that time of year. It all depends on how much water we get. If we get a bunch of water quick, I'm not sure what the spawn will be like. Fishing during the spawn can be tough when the lakes are as bad as they are right now.

Yea in April shallow and walk the banks or maybe find a cheep used little two man boat and throw it in the truck or rooftop man in April I want outside in the sun

I would probably hit lewisville. But April is a long ways away so I would follow the forum to which ones are receiving good reports and ask this question again when it was closer to the time to leave on the trip.

Look also at the fishing barge on Joe Pool Res. I've not seen any reports from there lately but it does produce some good crappie from time to time.

some bank spots will be real good around town as well about then ....
