Is there like some sort of starter kit that I can buy to make my own jigs? Its looks like it would be really cool to do but I don't know where to start. Thanks

I got the starter kit at BPS (vice, bobbin, scissors, threader) for $30.00 and then just bought the materials that I wanted.
Word of warning - if you are doing it to save some money, you won't!!!! I bet I have close to $200.00 in it so far. But it is a lot of fun. I can also tie hundreds of jigs with what I got so far.
Will be buying a better vice someday soon.

At one time Crazyangler had a starter kit with vise, bobbin, jig heads, feathers and really everything you'd need to tie some jigs. but I really don't know if he still has that kit for sale.

Go with Crazy Angler! Robert is great and ships fast! Get the whip finisher you won't regret it. As far as material I would suggest some of the new 1/32 oz hd walleye heads, they are awesome. I like hackle better than maribou- it's easier for me to work with. Some call it cheating, but I use clear mono verses colored thread because it goes with everything- less stuff to have to change when tying. Good luck. Oh and it doesn't save money, but you can make the colored jigs you want right then.

I have a peak vise coming do they have a starter kit without the vice? Thanks Just build your own kit. Order 2 colors of 210Denier Thread, 1 or 2 bobbin's, 2 colors of a Hackle or Marabou, a pair of scissors, a whip finisher, 2 colors of chenille & a hank of Krystal Flash. Also order some Pro Ball jigheads in 1/16oz & 1/8oz. This list should run you around $35-$40 but you'll be set for tying a bunch of jigs. Next, get ready to dive off into Powder Painting!
