Caught this rainbow yesterday morning, parked at the Evening Hole and walked down a ways.
I'm a rookie at this trout fishing game and was pretty proud of this one, which was released unharmed.

man that is a monster! as many fish as I've caught up there never even gotten close to one that size. I keep hearing about them and seeing pictures but they evade me. Congrats on a great fish!

Nice fish. Had too much 'life' going on recently to get up there & fish. Thanks for releasing that fish. They're a resource too precious & awesome to be enjoyed by just one person!

Wish they'd change the limits on the LMF, but that's a topic that has been hashed over & over.

Congrats on the piggy!

Nice fish! I hope to get one like that some day!

Thanks for the comments on the fish guys.

Rex - Thanks for the casting lessons last summer, your are "The Man".

Cary - We've not met yet, but I have a guide trip scheduled with you in the near future at LMF, so the expectation is set, we gotta top this one!

Turf Dawg - He took an egg patttern, fished pink and deep.

Man! Nice fish! I've caught 2 or 3 around that size, at LMF and up north on the Norfolk (Gosh the Norfork's a beautiful stream. If you ever get the chance... PM me anyone and I can line you out a little on the Norfork Dam and Bull Shoals Dam. I spent a week there in November).

Y'all, I haven't had the luck with eggs everyone else seems to be having. I have some big old eggs, Y2k's that don't do any thing special. I sent my daughter to Hobby Lobby in Texarkana for Pompoms, but the ones she brought back were huge. So I bought some "Otters Eggs" which are nice and small, about 3/16" in diameter if you can picture that. I tied them to a hook just like in the instruction video. They don't do anything in particular for me. I catch a fish here and there when I use them. I've tried reddish-pink and salmon-pink. They're not very shiny. Maybe that's the problem. They work about like a midge or nymph fished deep does when there's no particular activity going on.

Great fish! Truly a trophy bow. I hear there are fish this size in the Guad but personally I've never seen it. Arkansas has the in plenty but have never hooked one myself. Great catch
