Calm winds onTawakoni , 30.19 on the baro., 43 degree water temp., 18-42 feet of water, tried just about every color in the box. Got skunked anyway.
Not a single bite.

Dang Dutch, y'all were slayin' slabs last year this time... I know, that's why it's so frustrating. Of course all our Lakes here are 7-11 feet low now. I think that has something to do with it.

We are having the same problem down here. Last year we had several areas where you could find fish just about all the time. This year the fish have not been staying in one area for any period of time. I think it is the unstable weather patterns. Super cold one day and super warm the next. I wish it would either stay cold or warm for a long period of time. I also hope we start getting some rain very soon. If we don't it is going to be one very rough summer.

While it is a shame you were skunked, you had all that fun trying all your tackle. Being on the water is what counts, the fish you catch are just a bonus. And there is always tomorrow, when you will slay them.

Did you see them on your graph and they wouldn't bite? No Nobody was home. Not even a Sand Bass or a Hybrid.

I know a catfish guide that is having trouble finding shad. Suspect the cold spells we've had this year has killed off a huge amount of shad.
But, if that is true, you'd think the crappie bite would be on and it ain't happening anywhere that I can see.
Splain that one??
