Alright folks, I need some help. I've been on a skunk that has lasted about a month and a half. No cats, crappie, no trout, nothing. Anyone have a spot or two around grapevine to get into some panfish? My fishing partner is slowly losing faith in my abilities, heck so am I haha. If anyone has any tips or spots please please please let me know! Pm is fine if you prefer. Thanks guys!

Don't feel bad. I got skunked this past October on Fayette and again earlier this month on Dunlap. bang I almost got the big Zero yesterday late afternoon on the Cibolo Creek. hammer I got super lucky and caught a Bluegill and Longear. clap With the weather changes we have been having lately the fish patterns have been hard to figure out. Keep fishing and good things will happen. fish

Side Note: Right now the sunnies are in deep water and not that active. They get that way during the winter. If we get a warm spell that will last a few days take advantage of it. The sunnies will get a little active and start looking for food. I fish here in the San Antonio area and do not know about the area you fish. Good luck. cheers

in around 30 days or so .....you should be back to hero status bro.... thumb
the spawn is coming ..... clap
you might start watching the area rivers and creeks
as soon as you see a bunch of cars and trucks parked ....
the sandbass run will be started up the waterway ....
maybe try blue cats from the bank till then ....
some shad on a wind swept point should do it ....
good luck

The way I see it, the days you get skunked are good days to work on your big fish/one that got away stories. I've fought some of the biggest fish I've never seen on the days I get skunked.

Just remember. "There is no such thing as a bad day on the water when it comes to catching fish. Catching fish is a bonus". Just my two cents. thumb

Getting skunked is all part of fishing. I know the feeling. The sooner you get back on the board the better you feel. Makes a good day seem a whole lot better.

It all goes with fishing. No one likes the big zero. Lake they say around here. Keep fishing and good things will happen. thumb

Don't worry, let's do a voodoo dance in our slip and we should be back in style.
