As mentioned, all will eventually grenade. But, the bad thing with 4-strokes, when they do go, it will tend to be more catastrophic. Valves, push rods, cams, etc. on a 4- stroke that you don't have on a 2 stroke. With all that being said, I don't think I'd be afraid of the newer modern day 4 strokes. Grip it and rip it!
