Hey Guys. I'm shopping for used boats and looking at models from the 2003-2006 years with 200hp-250 merc motors. I see a mix of boats rigged with EFI and Optimax motors. What is the big difference? Is it performance or resale value?

I just sold a merc 150 XR6 that was bullet proof. But Im trying to graduate into an electronic fuel injected model mainly for the ease of start. Any insight appreciated.

I would go with either one, in those years, with the Opti doing better on fuel being the main difference.

Yea I'm not that worried about fuel economy. I spend way more time fishing than I do running....so If one doesn't outperform the other then I guess it doesn't matter.
