Based on guidance from this thread, I went down to Tailwaters yesterday and tested out the TFO Pro Series and the TFO BVK. Since I'm not a great caster, i didn't think I'd be able to tell a difference between the two. However, the BVK was so much easier to cast than the PS! I bought the 4 wt BVK and spent the day fishing a creek. I didn't catch anything, but I was struck by how much easier and more accurate a new rod made my casting. I'm a definite TFO disciple now.

Congratulations!

Nothing beats getting to cast and compare the rods you are interested in and then picking out the one that feels best to you. banana

Have fun fishing your new rod.

The TFO Pro in 4 weight is one of my favorite fly rods for small bass, trout, and bluegill.
I over-line mine with 5 weight line and it cast great !
I couldn't recommend a better rod for the price and lifetime warranty.

I also suggest 4 piece rods just for the convenience.

Congrats! I have had two Orvis Clearwater 5 wts (broke my old two piece, orvis replaced with the new 4 piece). I't one of my favorite rods. However I recently had a chance to cast a 6wt TFO BVK and was extremely impressed. TFO makes great rods! Enjoy

I agree. I have the same rod and it's my go to for small bass, sandies, trout. Super easy to cast and very light.
