I recently moved to the Greenville area and lookng for places to bank fish for cats on Tawakoni. So far about the only access (I need to be close to the water, can't walk all that good) is the west end of the Two Mile bridge. I fished the north side last week end with no luck. After I got packed up and was leaving I drove over to the south side of the bridge and found the shore line open for about a half a mile. Did not see anyone fishing but saw a lot of vehicles further down that has entered through a gate. I was not sure if it was OK to go oin that property so I just drove down to the water and then left. Another member of the TFF said would let me know when the crappie move into the Anchor Inn dock. I am looking forward to meeting him and trying for some bucket crappie. If any of y'all know of some other places to bank fish on Tawakoni I would appreciate the info.

The bank in Anchor Inn is very good on warmer days and you can drive right on to the shore now. You do have to pay to enter but its worth it for ease and good fishing. River channel is not too far out from that shoreline. When it gets warmer that will be a great area. Good Luck....

Speaking of dry... Duck cove marina has NO water... It is one of the spots i usually catch crappie in the spring
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

yes but you can not drive on the bank at the state park
Having fun is hard work sometimes! Not the biggest but big enough!
