Hey folks,
I bought this thing for my old eyes and the side imaging.
Can anyone explain this 360 stuff to me?
I am a computer programmer for a living, yet this blows my mind. hahahahah
Anybody ever fished that way?

You still have to buy the 360 puck...it will not work with just the standard transducer. If you want some very good information on exactly how the hummingbird sonar works go to youtube and watch Doug Vahrenberg's channel...he has some good stuff!
I'm gonna miss her....

Hey? Do you think the puck is worth it? My guess is that is costs more than your average hockey puck. ;-)

No way I would go after 360 imaging for catfishing. Side imaging is amazing but I can't see the uses of 360 imaging being enough to justify the cost of the 360 pole/puck. It just isn't needed for catfishing. Not to mention how bad it would hurt when you break that pole off while going through some timber. If I had that kind of money to spend I would go after a power pole or talon before 360 imaging.

Pull up on a ledge or hump or whatever your fishing and be able to see exactly where the fish are and weather or not they've moved off! Just because you mark fish when you pulled up don't mean the fish are still there after you get anchored. I like to leave my finder on...watch the worm trails in deep water or watch em on side imaging in shallow water to see if they are around but I think the 360 would be a nie advantage!
I'm gonna miss her....

From what I have read and you tube I think you can only use 360 stationary. So side imaging I will be! And what tome said 360 bait coverage lol!

Man, I am not even gonna look at the price of that thing. It took me months of Ebay and hustling extra cash to afford this thing!
Maybe I should learn how to use it first.
hahahahah.

Oh ya, and I forgot. I am the guy who watched his Terrova trolling motor eject at 38 mph. The latch just jarred loose! It was like slow motion, I was yelling "noooooooooo". too late, ripped it right of the boat. I can give you gps coordinates where it lies at the bottom of Ray Roberts. Maybe I cannot be trusted with this new gadget!
