^^^^ Although Hale is often harsh and hateful (I don't read his mess), I do agree with the last statement there. Insurance for the anglers would be idea. Some type of group plan to protect their anglers. Obama would give it thumbs up!

Figured you for a Hale White follower. Says it all. "Can he fish on a broken leg? Clay Dyer blah, blah, blah." First off, I am a huge fan and supporter of Clay Dyer. Pace broke his leg in two places and tore his ACL. Just how would you expect him to fish? When the surgeon says absolutely no weight on the leg for 10-12 weeks, tell me how this would work?

I guess he didn't see the pic I posted of Pace.
Looked like he was laid up for awhile....or will be there awhile.

When the surgeon says absolutely no weight on the leg for 10-12 weeks, tell me how this would work? 99% of what Hale posts is stupid as hell. There is very little that I agree with, but he does have some valid points every now and then (he says so much that eventually he'll say something intelligent). Where did I ever say he should fish on his broken leg? I never did. What I did say is I feel he doesn't deserve an exemption into a Classic that he didn't qualify for. Maybe this will clear things up....what they did for Cliff Pace isn't wrong based on the past decisions of BASS to give out passes. What is wrong is when they made their first decision to give someone a pass. All they are doing for Pace is following what they have done in the past. Whomever was the first beneficiary of a BASS Classic pass is technically who I should say didn't deserve it. That particular decision, whether 5 or 50 years ago, is what started this trend.

It's not up to you to decide who "deserves it" and who doesn't. It's their tour and they make the rules and obviously they think he does deserve it.
