About March,April May.And with a worm ,jig, jerk bait, crank bait, trees rocks ,secondary ponits, shallow, deep. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is it any thing like Ray Roberts,Ray Hubbard?I am looking for a dd bass to beat my personal best of 9.3lbs but i would just like to catch some bass no matter what size they are. May get a guide or pay one to follow to put me on at least one spot to begin catching fish. thanks again for any information!!!

There is SO much to cover in this post that I may have to charge you! Just kidding. smile If you're looking to break your PB I would hire a guide or go with someone that has experience on the lake. And the lake is NOTHING like Hubbard or Ray Bob..

never went up there during spring time....look on navionics for shallow flats with timber...if i were you id find flats that have points near by, in pre-spawn bass will stage on points due to easy access to deep water if the occurrence of a cold front. when it is time to spawn they will leave the pints and move up to the flats and spawn... remember bigger bass spawn in deeper water. watch the weather channel, if there is a week (or close to a week) of warm water pack your bags and hurry to the lake to beat the crowd. as far as baits go its all personal preference. you cant go wrong with a big fat jig or chatter bait. i would keep a deeper running square bill tied on as well for covering some deeper water fast and might pick up a DD. hope you do well this spring.

if you are looking for some pre spawn pigs id recommend making a run to Monticello. its a hit or miss but without a doubt catch a couple nice ones. my buddy caught this one during the high school tournament that was 1.5 inches from being an over, it came in at 8.00 LBS.

You really need to learn how to use the search feature. There is enough information about Fork contained on this site to write a few books.

Make sure to buy boat lanes if your not familiar. Pope's Landing has the best ramps on the west side of the lake. Doesn't matter the lake level. They are right off of 17. If your looking for a place to stay, they also have nice waterfront cabins. The wife and I go all the time. www.popeslanding.com

Might look at Little Mustang, either Mustang Resort or Joes to launch..gives you easy access to Mustang, little Mustang and Williams....usually protected during windy days and you can just drop the trolling motor and fish.
