that last clouser with the Bent hook is what is what a seven pound hybrid does after 10 min on a four wt lol. What a great run last year caught several hundred hybrids and a lot of 100+ fish days of sandbass

Yea I think I would take a run half as good as last years and call it a big success lol. What a great year an to top that off it was almost all in solitude.

Packed in a long way on several places off Louisville,grape vine,'ray Roberts, even did well after what little rain we got on san bass paddling up stream of 377 on the clear fork above benbrook. Never really ha enough water to go hit the Nolan. I didn't know Louisville had good hybrids in it. But man were they a long walk till I got smart and brought the bike.

Robert the lake bridgeport creeks produced some big hybrids for us last year didnt they. Hopefully the will be in that creek off of sandy flat road again this year. We need to check it out in the next few weeks. Lets plan something around the full moon in february

Heaviest hybrids were def from sandy flat road. Sandies were just annoying.

It looks like you were dialed in because that clouser couldn't go back much further in the mouth. I really hope we get some rain most of the better spots are high and dry or at the least to low for the fish to get up. I really have to say last year was a run o epic proportion. Had years I may have caught more before the nolan got over ran with yahoos. But not by much then throw in the hybrids and it was just silly. My 8wt got a real work out last year. I caught the first one on my 4wt and thought I wa going to have to amputate my arm lol. Even with the big stick I hooked two hybrids that I never got to see that down right manhandled me both broke off and I was using 15 invisix floro for leader. I sure would have like to have seen them one was at 4am with no moon with your other senses heightened because of lack of site I really felt the power in that one. Peeled line so fast has to palm the reel to keep it from over spooling. At least I hooked it. We went yesterday to one spot just to fin a small trickle of water so pray for rain.

We really caught some big hybrids in the dark. Just a little nerve racking hearing a herd of pigs behind you. That's why I was rolling with the double head lamp lol. Helps watch for snakes easier a well.
