anyone know of a reputable minn kota service center in Dallas area to cut it down a little without voiding warranty? This thing is way too long!

Allstar Archery & Marine is a MinnKota authorized repair shop and great guys to do business with. They have two locations in DFW, one is at Loop 12 and I-30 in E Dallas and the other is in Lewisville, if I recall correctly.
Highly recommend them!

What is the length of the shaft and how old is the unit. The reason I ask is I bought a 45" last fall and find it difficult to bend down and retrieve. A longer shaft would make it easier. Maybe a trade would solve both our issues.
