So Denton creek is our usual battleground come the spawn. But as of today, it doesn't look too promising this year. I took these at the 377 bridge and im
Thinking that between a lack of water and the current construction activity, the main lake is gonna hold the action. I don't know Benbrooks creeks too well but that seems to be the safer bet. Anyone have an update on what it looks like on the south side of FW?

Wow in the last 3 years I have never seen it that low. Not sure that we could get the rain to even make it good this year. But I will say them sand bass last year went a long way in less water in other creeks. At that point you have to find the pools of water that they will sit in. Also maybe there will be less trash at that banks this year due to the lack of water I say maybe as this is the creek that I have seen more trash left on the bank from fisherman next would be Hickory creek.

We used to fish about a mile and a half upstream but they posted it so we can't get back there anymore. Last year we would always go about3/4-1 mile downstream from
The rocks and caught em there, a little ways away from the mosh pit that the bridge becomes. If we got really lucky and get some flooding in February, it may produce but I doubt well get much. I remember 2011 my buddy and I camped out there when it flooded and we caught probably 300 sandies over night(didn't keep any of em.) I sure miss the good ol days...

All the trash left behind was why Vance's camp south of Eagle Mtn was closed. I drove in and saw some guys fishing had made a small fire. Left about two hours later and saw the fire going and no one fishing near it any more. Some people have no consideration for the consequences to their actions.

I'm not sure what they those two were doing behind closed doors, but I do know a few guys that fished it while we were showing up said game warden or sherriff made them clean up the area they were fishing. I've always said its easier to carry an empty can out than a full one in, so I just cannot understand why some fishermen can't just put THEIR trash in the ice chests and discard it later. They have to throw away the guts and skins of the fish anyway.

Well no matter where we go there will be those few folks that make a mess and leave it. I was looking more for info on water levels and if anyone had any info on the status of FISH in the creeks..

And with all of the trash next to the fire to. If your going to build a fire why not burn some of the trash to? Ok I just have to steep off this soap box or its going to get real sudsy.

I should have taken some pics but after hiking from 377 ALL the way to the lake, the creek just north of 1187 into benbrook, is holding no fish, because there is hardly any water there as well. We need rain!!!

Don't know about most of it, but the section of Denton Creek that I usually hit is VERY low. It's fairly clean in terms of trash because not a lot of people go there, but I can see the bottom of the creek from most spots and it wasn't that way just a few months ago. Not certain what to expect...

This is Lake Lavon on 380 going toward Farmersville. It's way low. Sorry for the bad quality, we were driving the speed limit so I had to snap a picture quickly. You can see the old dam there though.
