I fish for Sandbass and Hybrids most of the time but have started doing lots of Crappie fishing out of my slip the last few years. We were going out chasing the Hybrids Saturday But here's what happened!
This is a post I put in the Sandbass Section.
I couldn't get away from the slip again. My thoughts were to Crappie fish for a little bit and then hit the water in the boat and chase sandbass. Yesterday morning the crappie were a lot slower than it had been and I decided to go home for lunch. The wife wanted to go back with me and we got there about 2.30pm. She said lets try the Crappie before we go out on the water so we did. The afternoon bite was nothing like the morning. As soon as we put the jigs in the water we started catching Crappie. We never made it out to see you guys. We left them biting around 6pm. WE stopped by Bass Pro on the way home to buy a counter because we had lost count of the fish we had caught, I'm sure saving lots of gas in the boat, see you guys when the Crappie bite slows down.
I have fish in the freezer so most everything we have caught has been put back to enjoy again. I know we both caught over a limit each easy.

That is great to hear. My wife fished our slip yesterday while I did some work on the slip and the boat. (I changed slips to one in deeper water so I've having to set everything up again. )

She did not get a single bite. We were there from noon till 8:00 P.M. She tried jigs and minnows. One of the other slip owners stated he started fishing at 5:00 A.M. and had not had a bite all day. He left at 3:00.

However if they are now at your slip maybe they will start showing up at our slips here at Joe Pool soon.

Thanks for the report Pat...
Seems as though the afternoon bite has been a little better...

Hope you are doing better Matthew! I should have also said all fish came off your Filletmaker and Magic Jigs. I might be a little partial but the filletmaker has been killing them.
