Our Humminbird 1197 died yesterday. Looking for a replacement - want to stay with Humminbird, either a 1197 or 1198. Does anyone know of someone selling that hasn't posted on the classifieds? I know this is not THE best place to post this question, but I don't have enough posts to put anything in the classifieds yet. PM me with anything of use...? Thanks.

call humminbird they will repair 1197 for 370.45 according to there web site. if looking to buy new david is great guy to deal with

Cheapest route may be sending it in to Johnson and having them fix it. They charge a flat rate in the 300-400 ball park, I think.

Yep, mailing it off to Humminbird tomorrow, but wanted one to put up on the bow (or on passenger side for wifey). She can't see mine, plus I'd like one in the bow for when I move up front. Stinks on ice to have to do a repair just as we were preparing to get an extra one! I'll contact David to see what he can do price wise. Thanks.

If they cannot fix your 1197, for the flat fee of around $375 plus shipping, they will replace it with a new 1198.
Pretty good CS, IMO
