There's a difference between "late" and 86-ing your entire trip.

"Late" I will give the benefit of the doubt once, unless there is something obviously wrong with the "excuse"...simply because "life" has happened to me many times in the process of getting ready for a trip.

Completely bailing on the trip at the last minute will get you banned from my boat as quick as I read the text or hang up the phone.

Fishing for me is about relaxation I don't do schedules ! If I'm going to meet someone we meet " around " this time, now I guess if it was a contest it would be different , that's a responsibility! I bank fish if I invite someone to come with me it's not going to ruin my day if they don't show up I just fish on my own the invitation was for his/her benefit not mine.

Nice having a wife that understands ain't it? I love mine, she lets me do what I want. Never had to cancel or delay any fishing or hunting trips on her account. I set that ground rule on the first date!

Some of these around, though, maaaan they just let their ladies walk all over them and rule their life. I just don't work that way I guess.

I've never had someone be late or cancel last minute on me. I think most of the people I've fished with have respect for my free-time just like I have respect for theirs. I have gotten some "maybes" though, and that can be irritating. Yes or no...make a decision....it's not rocket surgery!

Im the wife that makes sure the sammiches, phone chargers, and water made it on the boat because we plan on being out all day on the water. i dont think a man should have to ask to go fishing, it is nice to know what each others plans are though. i do know women, that once we are all finally out on the water and settled, they blow up the phone and make their man go back home lol. it could be worse the wife could have a permanent seat on that boat... ask my hubby.. congrats on 26 years btw!!

"LOL...Wonder what the wife is doing??"

I don't have to worry what she is doing. She is always supporting my daughter in her cheer leading competitions.

I guess if someone is insecure enough to wonder what his wife is doing then maybe he should be asking for kitchen passes and also passing them out... lol

BTW, Nice fish Basstrackn!!! And I don't mind when she does go fishing with me. But she usually fishes a little and read a book and lay's in the sun.
