Can you mount a skimmer transducer inside the hull? If so does it work as good as the shoot thru hull transducer.

I am 90% sure you can install it inside the hull. I wouldnt recommend it though. Is this on a boat or kayak?
Can one become a master at fishing? Pshh... yes...

Yes, you can but it is not as easy as one made for that purpose if it has a rounded face like the Lowrance transom tranducers. Having a flat face makes it easier to get it parallel with the hull.

Yes it's a skimmer for an hds 10. What about temp? The temp won't read the water temp since it is in the boat. It will read the ambient temp of the bilge area.
