A reel off the metanium frame (assuming a new curado here) for around 180 retail in March.

If that reel at least has their Xship (I'm not even asking for the micro module gears like the metanium), sounds like a reel winner to me.

Gotta admit, I'm excited about that, as the metanium is creaking awesome. Even watered down a bit that would be a great reel.

What color will it be?

Where did you get this info from if you don't mind sharing? Can you post a link for me?

You will probably be able to put a metanium micro gearset into it..

Just piecing together rumors from people who are being tight lipped but have actually seen the reel from bbc and tackletour.

Ok I read some other stuff on it. Apparently, someone called a store who had them in, and they said it is actually a copy of the Ch ci4+, but no SVS infinity. Also, it is aluminum vs ci4+. I can't wait.

That's basically the same reel I've seen described as the chronarch ci4 and metanium are very similar in shape.

Actually, these reels haven't even shipped yet, so no retailer has them yet. A retailer may have seen one at their recent buying show, but no one has them as yet.

When everyone does get a chance to see this new one, it will surprise you......believe me, this thing will change some standards, and it's legitimate. Don't listen to all of the rumors...it HAS all of the bells and whistles.....they will go fast and I'm sure will go backordered in short order. I would not wait when you see one if you want it....

Yes you're right. There are sales reps showing some stores right now, and that's how this is getting leaked. I dug my way all the way down into this secret, and I now know EXACTLY what you mean. This thing should be sweet, and the tatula will lose popularity fast. cheers
Shimano is proving themselves as "king of the hill" right now I guess.

Been using Shimano for 34 years; very few problems.

Your right about this reel. If it is anything like the talk it will be fabulous. I was asking about it the first part of Dec. but kept being put off. Hope it is all that they say. This spring should be interesting with a lot of new stuff coming on the market.

My guess is Shimano really wants to make things right with their Curado again.

Yeah they want to make stuff right again, but expect to pay more again. This new curado is supposed to retail anywhere between 199-210 from what I've heard..

It better not cost more than $179. That's the most I would pay.
