been using power pro, but just got some 832 Suffix.
But no more than you and I have been fishing lately we could use sewing thread. lol

I have a question for all you Power Pro users. Have you ever tried the Suffix 832? I've tried both and Suffix is far superior to PP, imo. Maybe their new super slick is comparable, I've not tried that.

Suffix 832 Performance with Gore In lab tests the 832 benched at 143% of rated strength when it came to impact strength. That means fewer hook sets with that string of curse words afterward. The Dyneema fibers are the bulk of the line and they are cushioned and lubricated by the Gore fiber. The Gore fiber is supposed to make it more abrasion resistant which sort of works. In the lab, Suffix 832 was only slightly better than average when it came to abrasion resistance. I've never seen the 832 finish below average on any test and it is well above average on most. The reason I like it is that it handles really well. It lacks that heavy waxy coating that some braids have. That color change that someone mentioned above.... That is only dye and has nothing to do with the physical performance of the braid, just visibility, and my green Sharpie fixes that bottom three feet in a few seconds. If you are concerned about abrasion resistance.... Just upsize your line. If you want 30 pounds, but the 40. If you want 40, go 50. Remember this stuff is tiny, tiny, tiny..... Tight lines.

Diawa Samurai, had it on my reels for two years now, may reverse it and get two more years out of it, well worth the money to me. I used Power Pro for years then had someone recommend this and now it is the only braid I will use. Much better!
