Sunday was the perfect day to fish but I had already planned to fish CC on Monday with Etu and Yanny so I stayed home and took the kids out. We had a great day out and about but all day, I wonder if what I have learned on Lake Lewisville and Ray Hubbard would transfer to another north Texas lake.

Only one way to find out! Honestly ready for that dreaded report of first time on the lake, did not know where what and when but man the weather was great and we had a great time. This first time however, as Ed puts it, "We are just STUPID lucky!"

Lucky enough to have our limit in about two hours of fishing. Then it was game on for the bigger fish but we were not that ASSININE lucky. Wanted to meet to locals but we saw no one. I was amazed that we almost had the lake all to ourselves on such a nice holiday albeit windy early. But as you can see from other reports, CC locals were out but I think they were avoiding the clueless noobs. Oh well, I'll ask Ed to refrain from the beans before we head out next time.

Thanks Ax! Studied your maps before getting on the water Dennis. Had plan A, B and C ready. But when we got on the water, we followed plan try here. Glad it worked out. I did scanned about three or four mid lake humps in 20-35FOW. Mark a few fish but not enough for me to fish.

Tom, I am the lucky one to have dad fish with me. I love fishing but it's no where near as fun without friends and family. A big thank you to my two fishing buddies who were ok with him along.

Like dad, I am also set in my ways. I love and prefer to fish slabs over shassy shad/flukes. Thankfully, Fishboy and Etu handed me rods with them tied on. If you watched the video carefully, you can see which SUPER deadhead and flukes snatched the hybrids for us.
