I had the privilege of guiding Mark Spaeth from Dallas today. The weather was warm, water temps, in my mind, should warm toward the end of the day and the fish should bite. Technically speaking, that's the way it's supposed to work and the fish did everything but jump into the boat. Wow! It was incredible. We caught 21 this afternoon that averaged close to five pounds. Every bite seemed like a giant being as the bite has been reasonably poor the past few weeks. We caught every fish on the trap and only lost one fish at the boat. Mark was giddy the entire day. It was awesome to see the smile on his face. It has been a while that I have had a trap bite this good with six fish over six pounds and three over seven. Amazing. The photo's below are not duplicates. I took a picture of all the big fish he stuck. Put you nose to the grind stone and cover some water. They are there. Glad to see Fork coming back to life. We quit at 4:00 and had 7 solid slot fish. Should have stayed a couple of more hours but the wrists were sore from chunkin and windin da trap!

Will need a few more trips to get back in shape for the big bass season. Have been Dead sticking those sand bass so long, it has me out of shape. Good catch Dave and Mark.
