Just ordered some flies from Galloup's slide inn fly shop and right now all I can say is they are BEAUTIFUL!  Although I havent tried them yet, somethings telling me I will never go back to the big box stores for my flies. Now don't get me wrong, I have been happy with the flies I have bought from big box stores as I have caught a nice variety of fish, but looking at the craftsmanship between these and the big box flies its like night and day.
Can one become a master at fishing? Pshh... yes...

Kelly Galloup is famous for his big, ugly streamers that catch monster trout. Next time try out his Zoo Cougar, Butt Monkey, Peanut Envy, Stacked Blonde or Sex Dungeon (he does have a way with naming his flies). They even sell a nine fly Kelly Galloup Streamer selection at Cabela's online, though they've sanitized the fly names a bit for public consumption.
Most of the patterns, along with his tactics for using them, appear in his book Modern Streamers for Trophy Trout, co-authored with Bob Linsenman.
