Go to the Navionics web app http://www.navionics.com/en/webapp go to the lakes you fish, zoom in on the click on the Sonar Icon in the lower left corner to get the SonarCharts view this is available on the Hotmaps Platinum and Navionics +. The Nav + doesn't give you satellite and 3d imagery, I would rec. the Nav+ you select the lakes you fish and download them to the chip Nav+ does away with having to buy multiple chips for multiple regions. Are running a Humminbird sonar? If so you can log sonar and upload them to Navionics and they them update the cartography and you upload the SonarCharts data back into your chip. So bottom line Nav +!

I'm having issues with my computer recognizing my Navionics chip. I plug it in and nothing pops up in my computer. Anyone know how to fix this? I'm trying to update my maps/card. Every time I go to the website and try to do the update the page times out.

when you plug in the chip go to my computer in start menu, when it comes up you should see the chip in whichever drive it uses, click it. this should open the chip. then go try to update.

My computer never recognized the chip when I plugged it in. I stuck it in another computer and it worked on it.

I seem to have the best luck when using the SD/USB adapter rather than plugging it into an SD slot.
