I will be bringing my boys to fork during our spring break - third week in March. I would like to hire a guide for them for their birthdays and me follow in our boat. The oldest boy is a pretty good fisherman and will be ok, the youngest is actually my stepson and not as experienced. They are 15 and 14. Who would yall recommend i contact. Iv been lurking on here for years / lived on tawakoni from 99-05. Thanks in advance!

You will just have to find one that has a day off in March. Most will be booked but they do have cancellations at times.

Two suggestions: If you are looking for big Bass, I would suggest David Ozio. Great guy and is great at finding the big fish, especially in the spring. If getting bit is most important, Johnny Guice is also a excellent choice. Both are great teachers and very patient.

It may be difficult to find a full timer this late into it. I would recommend calling around and seeing what you can find, that is the peak week of traffic.

Hey Coach...I did this last year with my 13 year old and one of his buddies...used Jason Hoffman and he was absolutely great.

I don't agree, if you don't know Fork then the lake can make you a zero even on a hero day. Fork isn't a lake you can just go anywhere and catch bass.

Yeah which is what the guide will do too but it will cost you 300-400 bucks to watch them zero and provide all these excuses about why they aren't biting and if you'd been here last week we were slaying them...sheesh...whatever

Like I said save the money and try for yourself...a lot more enjoyment that way

Thanks for the info guys. I do know the lake fairly well. We ususally come down twice a year - spring/summer and do fairly well. They have more equipment than most men I know ( they save their$$$ and buy it themselves) and both really want to go with a guide. Didnt mean to ruffle feathers - I have several PMS and I am going to call a few of the guys yall recommended or that PMd me. TIGHT LINES
