Also, I looked at the "official" Joe pool website last night. And it says Lloyd Park is open 24/7

Fork would be fun, from a boat, not from the bank. Just not enough bank access for the amount of people who normally fish the tournaments.

If you have it, they will come..... lol I havent fished Fork since I was a kid so I can't comment on the bank access. If there were a place though with pretty good bank access you can bet I'd be there. Don't care how far I have to drive!

Y'all should consider lake Ray Hubbard too. I saw some awesome bank access in a park last time I drove by. Had tons of rip rap along the banks and a few points, etc. Looked really good.

Fished this whole area from point to point last summer. Plenty of access and room for everyone. And I would join you out there Nathan! Lol

If you guys wanna do fork, go for it. I won't fish that place unless on boat. Too many honey holes to get to with a boat. Never banked it there though

I would give Fork a try. Cant be worse than Cliff. Joe and I used to go every year and rent a boat, the places we caught at could have been reached from the bank.

Pray for warmer weather! Someone needs to go pre fish it already lol and give me a water temp reading. If its still in the low to mid 40's then good luck! The kayaker guys had a tourney out at Grapevine last weekend. 20 kayakers on the water and only 1 19" was measured and won the tourney. Fishing is tough on these cold water lakes right now. That's why I'm taking the yak out to Fairfield this weekend! Might even get a chance to catch a huge redfish(it was stocked with redfish)

If you watch Honey Hole from Fairfield, Bill was dragging a Carolina rig across the bottom on points near the upper end of the lake. He said fishing was tough. But they are still biting and the bites he had were all quality bass. And it was just filmed a few weeks ago.
