 Safe place to stay near Monticello

Heading out this weekend to support two high school anglers and would like to arrive a day early to scout and stay overnight. Any places to stay that have secure parking and power for the battery charger?

There is Ragan's but I would guess they are already booked. Also some small cabins by Snappy Pappy's but not sure on the hook ups. Otherwise, everything else is over in Mount Pleasant or Pittsburgh. I also think there are some cabins you can rent in Bob Sandlin State Park.

there is a very nice super 8 motel in mount Vernon, and if you ask for the fisherman's discount you can get around 10 bucks off of your total I think.

there are some houses that rent on Cypress... pricy though for a weekend.
I would say the Super 8 in Mt vernon. theres a new mcd's there and a pricy little breakfast shack in the new truck stop.

I booked two rooms at the Super 8 in Mt Vernon. From the hotel to Lake Monticello it takes about 15 or 20 minutes.
