Anyone have this reel or info on it? How do they compare to the other 7000i? Thanks!

I've got 2 7000i and love them. They are great on pro angler rods

I have had one almost a year and caught some nice stripers and a few catfish on it, it casts well and will be taking it tomorrow. I am very pleased with it, I got it on a trade for another Abu reel.

The syncro part is what I'm most curious about.

I have had several reels including Abus. You can go to the Abu website and download the owners manual and a good scematic (sp). There is also a phone number that you can call and get technical help with a live person. I one I got was very sharp. Hope this helps, it has helped me several times.

I've got the 7000i I can Chuck it a little over 100 yards with bait I wen to the foot ball field and did this because I thought people were full of poo when they say they can chunk 100 yards. But I can chunk a c3 pro rocket I just got back from turbo Fred 85 yards with bait with a 7/6 pro angler. The 7000i is on a 10 footer. Abu is the way tow go

Had a few here on TFF dispute this fact here recently,well tuned reels will in fact "chunk" the carp outta riggings
with above average distances.

I have 4 and syncro lets the line guide move casting.They are great reels.On a 10 foot rod with a 6oz no roll you can cast a 6inch shad out there.

I think all the newer Abu's do that.

I was reading that the syncro was something about the drag was EZer to get to becuz it was on the other side of the handle. Don't know if it really is necessary or if it world as well as there AB (anti-backlash) reels. Witch did not work.

Now I need to know!
