Haven't been on Fairfield in years. Anybody got any info on how the fishing is. Any fish, lake levels, etc. Thanks.

I am in the same boat as you, going Sunday, but I know the lake caught 6 ft of water about 2 months ago and should be at or near pool, there was a significant fish kill, I believe in Sept, of 2013, estimated 1,400 bass of 14" if you go to TPWD's Facebook page you can see more info about this, they have stopped stocking the lake because of the annual fish kills until they get a handle on the situation. and numerous other fish were killed. I had a buddy of mine go there with his daughter for cats about a month ago and all he took was cat fishing material and he said everyone he saw was catching fish (bass)and he was upset he had no equipment. This guy knows how to fish IMO and they didn't catch a single catfish. Good luck
