If you take a new B out catfishin and whackem in that spot, and you ask them not to share that spot...then a week later they post photos of a 40 lb'er, then the next day I'm there and they show up with 4 people in the boat...(I'm pizzed) Is this acceptable??.....if you take someone out does that mean that is their spot to share with everyone??....(no good deed goes unpunished)

If you show somebody a spot pretty well count on them fishin it. Just remember there's very few "secret" spots

if they fish that spot..that's fine,but bringing 3 other people to that spot is not fine ...tom I know you fish that spot..but like eric said.do you want everyone to know your spots

Very few spots are secret. If I don't want them to show people I simply ask them not to show or tell others. If I find out they are spreading it around their chances of them fishing with me again are pretty slim.

For me this applies more to crappie fishing than catfishing.

In todays world, even if you don't show someone and they just see you catching fish from a distance. They will come by and waypoint your favorite spot and fish it anytime you are not there.

No it's not ok. Is there really a need to even ask? You simply told them to not do something, and they did anyway. People should have enough respect and not show anybody that spot. You did them a favor, the least they could do is not tell anybody. But sadly, that's not always the case.

Didn't mean to hit a nerve there, to answer your question I would have to say that I could understand you being upset if you had asked him to keep it a secret and he brought others out there, it's one thing if your hot spot is found by those that know what to look for and find it but if you had asked him to keep it a secret and he didn't that wouldn't be right.

Maybe the people that he had in the boat arnt catfisherman. Maybe he wanted some friends to have a good time enjoying something he likes to do. What better way to do that than put them on some fish. Or they could just be a douche like two fish said
