The wind was brutal.I have always bass fished pines and always heard the crappie fishing was awesome out there this time of year.So we headed out this morning and first thing caught 10 good crappie and about 15 yellow bass.Once the wind picked up the fish were no where to be found.Anyone have better luck on Pines today?

Mrs. Dutch and I will be there tomorrow and Monday.
MyForecast.com seems to be a good sight to get an idea of what the wind and baro. will be.
According to this site, the wind should be WNW at 3mph in the morning and SSW at 6mph in the afternoon. That should mean glass smooth around noon. On Monday the wind is supposed to be SW at no more than 8mph all day. We shall see!

Ditto. Really weird to see that lake empty by lunch today.

If I fall out of my boat tomorrow, it's nice to know I'll be able to walk from one boat to another.

I'll be in the boat with Coach JC, you will be able to spot me easily. He will try to front end me but I'll be the dude in that Skeeter pulling in white perch..

P.S. The weatherman was spot on, at 9:00am the wind blew in like gale force. The weatherman said lake wind advisory from 9am-6pm. After the wind blew us off the lake we went to our in-laws tank. At 6pm, the tank looked like glass. We pulled 30 out of the tank in about an hour and 15 minutes.

After two weeks of two limits every trip, I have been struggling to get 12-15 the last three times I've been over there last week. Fishermen are not there either, not that it means anything to me. Sometimes they start moving out by mid Jan and I have never figured where they go. At least where the large majority go. good luck.

I was wondering how long that would last at the dam. I remember tearing them up in the creek last Feb!
