Don't do it. Unless you have done it many times before.

Anything to right of ramp is ok, except for a couple big stumps marked. Don't run at all to the left of ramp. Stump city!

This. There are some lanes to run all the way from ramp to dam but unless you know where the few scattered stumps are in that area i wouldnt run it. Past the cooling towers is pretty open but there is a rock hump out a ways from the towers that certain times is jst a few inches below the surface.

Really bad advise there for a first timer! Yes I run from the ramp south to the dam but there are a few huge floaters in the middle(not marked!) out from the cooling towers that are just inches above the surface and are hard to see if water is not calm. Plus a huge rock reef out from cooling towers that comes up to within a couple feet of surface. Fast idle through this area first time till you see the few stumps. It's a little lake and does not take that much time to idle over the first few times. It's faster then getting towed back grin! That huge rock hump ain't a bad place for a squarebill either thumb. It's surrounded by 30' water and will show on your GPS if you have a map chip. Out from the ramp and left/north is idle only to the upper end. Enjoy!

Got a buddy that has a trail marked up to the north end where he ran it after idling around for 2 hours with side scan and found no stumps to run

Seen one of you jar heads in a black white Triton the past few trips out there...make sure your insurance is current.

Jar heads I think not. That's why they graphed the whole area. And they don't own a triton cause it for sure break lol

Mudd is talking about my brother and me.No triton here but used side scan to our advantage and found a pretty good run to make it up north no problem.

Just saying. You do what you do and I'll do what I do. No skin off me. You been fishing Welsh very long? There are stumps up north the size of a pick up bed submerged right now just under the surface. Sure would hate to see someone get hurt. If you know all about them and every stump up that way good deal for you.

I idled up north last Saturday in the wash of a black and white Triton that ran all the way up north. I bounced off of 1 stump and and hit 3 with the motor. 2 hard enough to kill the engine. Somebody is riding on luck is all I can say.

Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!
