Another topic on here was what do you say when you hook a fish, so I was wondering what people said when they lose one. You know "ran straight at me, couldn't get a good hookset" or How much bigger do you swear the fish was Than it really was "man that was the money fish"

OK I normally say #$@##$% that fish was *^&%$ing huge.

It all depends on whether I get to actually see it or not... If I see it and it's just a keeper I just look down re-rig and make the next throw. If I see it and it jumps, is huge, and rips me a new one; I fall on the deck and act like a fool!!!!

Had a 10+ one day I hooked with a drop shot. It felt like a stump but I knew there were no stumps where I was fishing. Felt a bump then said F it, set the hook and she actually swam to the boat slow. I bent down to grab her and the hook came out of her mouth like it was video taped in extra slow mo. She then sunk back into the water slowly like a sinking turd. Her belly had pimples on it like that Japanese world record. Her girth was huge and the lower extention of the jaw line was thick and huge. Thats how I knew she was 10+. I didn't cuss or anything. Actually thanked her for letting me see her. Like she knew she was being put back in the water kinda weird like we had a moment together. No homo. Other then that when I miss a bass I say words that aren't even thought of yet lol
